In 2021, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first-class English Literature MScR (Masters of Science by Research). In this time I developed a keen and meticulous drive for academic research in my field of African and diasporic literature that I endeavour to pursue as a PhD.
A brief dive into pedagogic research during my undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey sees my earlier work showcased in a student-staff partnered book published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Working across the editorial division at Visual Talent Publishers - home to Wonderland Magazine, Rollacoaster and Man About Town - I wrote feature and editorial pieces on key figures in music and fashion in the UK and the USA for their aforementioned print publications and corresponding online platforms, in addition to copywriting fashion & beauty press releases for their clients such as Gucci Beauty, Benefit and Louis Vuitton.

Digital lead for SLIQ, a beauty startup in London working within the global textured hair industry. I oversee editorial content and write copy, with experience in building a brand voice, navigating CMS and developing effective SEO strategy.
